I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Adding Firebase to our service worker
Our goal for the rest of the chapter is to integrate Firebase into our service worker so that it is ready to receive push notifications and display them.
This is a big project. We won't be able to actually display push notifications until the end of the next chapter. However, here we'll see how to integrate third-party services into service workers, and dive a little more into the theory behind service workers.
