In this section, we will look at the term overfitting. I put this term in front of you when I was explaining variance in the last section. So, it's time to explain overfitting and, in order to explain it, I want to take an example.
Suppose we have a dataset and we plot all the data points on a two dimensional plane. Now we are trying to classify the data and our ML algorithm draws a decision boundary in order to classify the data. You can see Figure 8.62:
