Regression
Regression is a statistical process that estimates the relationships between variables. Suppose you have a bunch of variables and you want to find out the relationship between them. First, you need to find out which are the dependent variable, and which are the independent variables. Regression analysis helps you understand how the dependent variable changes its behavior or value for given values of independent variables. Here, dependent variables depend on the values of independent variables, whereas independent variables take values that are not dependent on the other variables.
