So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
STAN generates random numbers using the distribution that we specified in the generated_quantities part. It is important to stress that in OLS (the lm function) we do get point estimates for our predictions, but here, we will just be generating random numbers according to the posterior distribution of the predictions. Of course, for reporting purposes, we can just take the respective mean of each prediction (or any other relevant metric).
