The winter of 2015 will not soon be forgotten by anyone then living in Massachusetts. It started off relative calmly. However, by late January, we were anxiously tracking the weather forecasts. A major blizzard was on its way. It looked to be a big storm even for Boston, which is accustomed to snow. The leadership at the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency was recommending that a state of emergency be declared. On January 26, the blizzard began. It was the sixth-biggest snowstorm on record to hit Boston, dropping more than two feet of snow in much of the state.
