It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
2章初めてのPrometheus
この章では、Prometheus、Node exporter、Alertmanagerをセットアップ、実行する。この章のサンプルは1台のマシンをモニタリングするだけの単純なものだが、本格的なPrometheusシステムがどのようなものになるかの片鱗を伝えてくれるはずだ。あとの章では、この構成に含まれる個々の要素を詳しく見ていく。
この章では、比較的新しいバージョンのLinuxを実行するマシンがひとつ必要である。ベアメタルでも仮想マシンでもかまわない。コマンドラインを使うとともに、ウェブブラウザでマシンのサービスにアクセスする。話を単純にするために、すべてのものがlocalhostで実行されていることを前提とする。そうでない場合は、URLを適宜修正していただきたい。
この章で使われているものとよく似た基本構成は、http://demo.robustperception.io/で公開されている。
2.1 Prometheusの実行
Prometheusとその他のコンポーネントのビルド済みバージョンは、Prometheusのウェブサイト、https://prometheus.io/download/で入手できる。このページに行き、amd64アーキテクチャのLinux OS用のPrometheusの最新バージョンをダウンロードしよう。ダウンロードページは、図2-1のようになっている。
