So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
Color is fun to play with, but it's also rather complicated to understand. The world in general, and Photoshop in particular, uses color models as a way of describing colors. The four color models are HSB, RGB, CMYK, and CIE Lab Color. There are also color modes, which enable you to work with color. RGB is the most useful color mode because it's the one your monitor displays. CMYK mode is used for printing, as is Grayscale.
In this hour, we discussed the color modes and the specific color models in Photoshop. We also looked at a few of the more salient issues regarding converting between modes.
In the next hour, you will delve deeper into the world of color by learning how to make tonal adjustments and general adjustments.
