Each microservice has its own database

This option has a separate database for each individual service, as follows:

Instead of a single shared database across services, each service's database is an integral part of that service and cannot be accessed by other services directly. Another flexibility in this option is that each service is allowed to choose the type of data store that is the best fit for its capabilities. For example, if you have a search service, to perform the search in the system, you can use Elasticsearch as a data store.
