Application registration

Let's register (or create) an application at Google, which provides connection access to use the authorization service. This is an essential step before start to implement OAuth. Google provides an API console to register an application. A valid Google account is required to access the API console. Go to https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials and follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Create credentials button in the Credentials tab, and click on the OAuth client ID option. Select the application type as Web Application.
  2. Give an appropriate name (like SpringOAuthDemo).
