Defining the Spring MVC controller

Our backend layer is ready, and now we will design the controller and view layer. We have decided to user Spring MVC for the frontend, which is the best fit for web-based Spring applications. The declaration of Spring MVC controller in Kotlin is similar to what we have done in Java, as follows:

@Controllerclass TaskMgmtSystemController {// Controller methods...}

The Kotlin TaskMgmtSystemController class is declared with the @Controller annotation, which is used to define the class as a Spring MVC controller. The way of defining controller methods in Kotlin is also similar to Java. For example: a home page can be shown by the following controller method:

@GetMapping("/")fun showHomePage(model: Model): String ...
