So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Circle charts
Circle charts are one way to visualize a distribution. Consider the following view, which shows how each state compares to other states within the same region in terms of total profit:
Here you can easily see that certain states do far better or far worse than others in terms of profit. More than that, you can see whether the state has made or lost money and how much above or below the regional average the state was.
