I’m really glad the last significant piece of content in the last chapter is the story from Manya, because if there’s any message I want to send you off with, it’s this:
To be effective, any behavior-change design must be grounded in compassion and empathy and connection with the people you are designing for (or with).
We’ve spent a lot of time in this book on models, processes, and categorizations. And I do believe those things are useful tools, and I hope they are helpful. But if I gave you the idea that behavior change is just a formula to implement, then I’ve failed you.
