Studies vary but the wide-ranging general consensus is that we are exposed to 5,000 to 100,000 messages per day. Seems an exaggerated number but walk through your day and you’ll see what I mean. Between magazines, Google ads on every web page we visit, social media ads, billboards, TV ads, radio or podcast ads, text ads, shopping cart ads, telephone pole ads, storefront ads, garbage can ads, washroom ads, bus shelter and subway ads, robo calls, street ads, and any other place some enterprising ad profession has thought of, it’s not hard to believe.
