We are aware that esports is not an emerging trend. Indeed, the predicted revenue figures for the esports market in 2024 are estimated to be in the region of $1.6 billion. If achieved, this will have grown from $958m in just five short years from 2019. With this in mind, we cannot exactly call it emerging. However, we do believe that it has the potential to be disruptive, especially when we focus on the impact of esports on professional team sport and sport teams.
