9 Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
Protocol exchange on an LDP session can be categorized in five phases.
1. Session initialization (including TCP connection establishment).
2. Session maintenance.
3. Address advertisement.
4. Label advertisement and management.
5. Error and event notification.
Session initialization begins when a new Hello message is received, as
