and the Sender-Initiated/Unsolicited File Transfer Protocol (SIFT/UFT) allows a
client to distribute files in advance of a request from a user. However, despite
these and other proposals, FTP and TFTP have grown to be the standard proto-
cols for file transfer in the Internet.
Many of the pros and cons of FTP and TFTP have been described in the pre-
ceding sections. The issues for consideration are security, robustness, reliability
(all strengths of FTP), simplicity of implementation, ...
