So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 8. Understanding the Nonprofit Sector's Leadership Deficit
Thomas J. Tierney is the chairman and cofounder of The Bridgespan Group, a nonprofit organization established in 1999 to provide management consulting services to the nonprofit sector. Most recently, he led the development of Bridgestar, a Bridgespan initiative dedicated to talent-matching for the sector. Tierney was the chief executive of Bain & Company from 1992 to 2000. He has contributed to many publications, including the Harvard Business Review, and is the coauthor of Aligning the Stars (Harvard Business School Press, 2002). Tierney is a director of eBay, Incorporated, and serves on numerous nonprofit boards and advisory groups.
