Assessment and Feedback
Meaningful, relevant assessment and feedback are based on course learning objectives. For assessment to be accurate, students need to know what they are responsible for learning before they are assessed. Clearly stated learning goals, in the form of grading rubrics, are essential for learners to be able to successfully manage their learning strategies. If students know what they are supposed to learn, they can come up with innovative strategies to be creative, take risks, experiment, and meet those expectations.
