Product Owner Anti-Patterns

Introduction

No other role in Scrum can contribute to mediocre outcomes like the Product Owner can—garbage in, garbage out. If they don’t understand their customer’s needs, they will make bad decisions about where the Scrum Team should spend its time. They can reduce this risk by collaborating and aligning with their teammates on the Product Goal and the Product Backlog; see Figure 2.1.
