Ken Schwaber, the co-creator of Scrum, often says, “Scrum takes minutes to learn but a lifetime to master.” This saying describes the paradox of Scrum: It is a simple framework that is easy to learn and understand, but practicing it well is challenging and takes time. Scrum is not complex, but the environment in which it is employed can be very complex. The complexity that Scrum works within includes the team, the organization, the problem domain, the solution domain, and the stakeholders.
