It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
10.14. Challenges and Opportunities
In today's world, finance organizations face many challenges. But these challenges are often opportunities to strengthen the company's sustainability even while facing a constant barrage of new laws and regulations.
If you apply the concepts in this chapter, your organization should employ a holistic approach to governance by breaking down silos that typically impede communication and lessen transparency. The key to implementing a holistic approach to governance is the development of an effective partnership between the finance organization and the IT organization, including the IT compliance group described in Chapter 7.
