It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Deployment Manifest
Locate the deployment manifest, MyApp.exe.manifest, in the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyApp\MyApp_1_0_0_0 directory (see Figure 1-6). It contains information about the application (such as dependencies and attached files). The MyApp.exe.deploy file is your application's executable. The other files and databases in the directory are used by your application. During installation, these files will be downloaded onto your users' machines.
