All the futurists are telling us that we are standing on the precipice of an AI revolution. They predict changes and disruptions and issue dire warnings about the loss of jobs, the loss of freedom, and the ultimate destruction of humanity. It’s as if they all watched Terminator too much when they were young.
No, Skynet is not going to wake up and nuke us all. We are nowhere near producing a machine that will “wake up.”
