In this part of the book, we’re going to look at the crazy growth of the programming industry, starting in the 1970s and continuing into the 2020s.
This is the story of my career. The events will be told from my personal point of view. As such, this part of the book is somewhat autobiographical. However, the focus is on the programming industry, and so I’m leaving out the vast majority of personal information.
This is the story of a young man (me) who, at the age of 12, was transfixed by computers in 1964, found employment in the early ’70s, and continued to be employed as a programmer, and eventually as a consultant and trainer, for the next five decades and change.
