The course that twenty-first century art takes probably won't be known until we reach the next century, when we can look back and identify the trends. At this point, we are left with our instincts, and we can try to blend cultures and technologies to see what happens. As media becomes more interactive, more people engage in media and there is more participation, so too may art follow that course. Art could very well blend trends such as Facebook and mobile applications, sharing content, interactive yet asynchronous, group projects in cyberspace. One aspect is certain—it will be interactive and in 3D, and here, WebGL will play a major role.
