Increased reliability and snappier performance were among the design goals for Windows Vista. To see for yourself how well the results turned out, open the new Reliability And Performance Monitor (shown in Figure 1-9), which displays detailed information about system resource usage and allows you to collect mountains of data for in-depth analysis. Reliability Monitor provides a day-by-day display of system events that can be tremendously useful in pinpointing the source of performance and stability problems.
