You make Group Policy settings using the Group Policy Object Editor snap-in for Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Windows Vista includes an MMC console that shows only this snap-in, but you won’t find it on the Start menu. To open the Local Group Policy Editor console (shown in Figure 36-1), in the Start menu Search box type gpedit.msc. Using the Local Group Policy Editor console requires administrative privileges, so you’ll need to respond to the User Account Control (UAC) elevation request.
