Monitoring Events
Traditionally, troubleshooters delve into Event Viewer after a problem has occurred, poring through logs to find clues to the cause of the problem. Event Viewer in Windows Vista includes two new features that take a more proactive approach. First, you can configure a task to be performed automatically when a particular event happens. And if your troubleshooting purview extends beyond your own computer, you can configure Event Viewer so that when certain events occur on other computers on your network, those events show up in Event Viewer on your computer.
