Apples
Every year you hear about a few bad apples in one profession or another: law, religion, business, anything. But the percentage of bad apples is tiny, probably about the same as it’s always been. The percentage of good apples is large. We just don’t hear about them.
People complain about all the bad politicians and it does seem that so many of them running for office are being dishonest (some perhaps without realizing it). They make promises they know they can’t keep and cast harsh aspersions on one another.
Still, it’s about the same in that regard as it’s always been: plenty of good ones and a few who get all the attention.
