I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

One of the first attempts to develop a benchmark for XML databases was XMach-1 (Böhme and Rahm 2001). It is a multiuser benchmark for the performance evaluation of XML data management systems. The benchmark application is Web based. The XML data types are text documents, schema-less data, and structured data. In their paper, the authors specify the benchmark database first. Then they determine the performance of an application by defining a set of SQL queries. Their most important performance metric is defined as Xqps (XML queries per second) for measuring throughput.
