In order to implement such a solution, the presentation logic would be largely removed from
TPF to WebSphere, on which portal code (for example) would become a consumer of the
z/TPF based services. The value of this approach is that there could be any number of
consumers of the services who might use the service (data) in any number of ways, including
the combination of services to create new business value.
In the new configuration the core functions that require the speed and reliability of z/TPF can
still run there while new and relocated business functions on WebSphere can interact with
