6.4 Set up the sample application
The sample application that we chose to use is a time server, a function that serves up the
current time of day, using the ZDTIM command

for its input source. The application uses the
Program Command Routing Service (PCRS) to achieve this. See “The Program Command
Routing Service” on page106 for a detailed discussion of PCRS. Figure6-6 shows the flow of
the application.
