Before delving into using the nuts-and-bolts (or, the functions and features) of your phone, getting to know the hardware buttons and software apps that come preinstalled on your phone is important.

Your phone may not be brand-new, and you’ve no doubt noticed many of its icons, controls, or buttons. But you may be at a loss to determine what they all do. To be honest, I often discover new tools on my phone. These can appear whenever incremental (and major) updates from Android add features to make the phone more useable.

After I got the hang of using the basics of the Android operating system, I found that newly installed features no longer throw me for a loop.
