Remember when you had to cart your camera film all the way to the drugstore (or Fotomat) to have those folks develop a roll of photos for you? For a roll of film, the processing cost was about $2 and each print (whether viable or not) cost 30 cents. Given these costs, you had to be selective about the number of photos you shot and their subject matter.
Today, photos are basically free. Digital photos can reside on phones or laptops, and in the cloud. From the digital versions, you can make beautiful prints for around 25 cents, and booklets from Google Photos starting at $9.99.
