Goals
• Complete the initial configuration of an OS X system
• Adjust common system settings
• Identify and install a configuration profile
• Examine and verify system information
Providing competent system configuration is a primary concern of technical support personnel. This lesson focuses on both initial setup and ongoing system configuration. Preliminary OS X configuration is handled via Setup Assistant, while subsequent configuration is almost entirely handled via System Preferences and configuration profiles. Finally, this lesson introduces the tools used to gather and verify system information.
