• Troubleshoot and repair partition and volume issues
• Troubleshoot and repair file system permission issues
Because the operating system requires a functional file system, the software that drives the file system is very reliable. In fact, most file system failures are due to bad hardware or media. It doesn’t matter how good the software is, though; if the hardware is no longer reading or writing bits, it’s pretty much useless to the file system.
