It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

WaitExten([seconds])Waits for the user to enter a new extension for the specified
number of seconds, then returns 0.
You can pass fractions of a second (e.g., 1.5 = 1.5 seconds). If
unspecified, the default extension timeout will be used.
