前述のとおりオブザーバビリティ（
Observability
：可観測性）は、いい感じか
つ持続的にユーザー価値のうちの保証を実現するための取り組みの一環で、広義の
監視のイチ実装です。要点は以下のとおりです。

モチベーションは「本番環境の状態やできごとを、あとからデバッグし理解で
きるようになりたい」
•
本番環境のデバッグにおいて文脈の深い特定のエンジニアのロックインを開放
し、好奇心の強いエンジニアであれば文脈が深くなくてもデバッグできるよう
になりたい
•
オブザーバビリティは「有無」ではなく「尺度」である（ある／ないではなく、
どのくらい備えているかの程度）
筆者が知る限り、日本語の情報としては書籍『オブザーバビリティ・エンジニア
リング』がとくに有名です。
ソフトウェアシステムにおけるオブザ ーバビリティとは、システムがどのような状
態に陥っても、それがいかに斬新で奇妙なものであっても、どれだけ理解し説
明できるかを示す尺度です。（中略）もし、新しいコードをリリースする必要な
く、どんな奇妙な、あるいは新しい状態でも理解できるのであれば、あなたの
システムにはオブザーバビリティがあると言えるでしょう。
もし、ソフトウェアシステムのどんな状態でも、どんなに斬新で奇妙でも、高
