23. OCD Is an Attribute
I will never forget my first press check. I had designed a brochure for a client of the direct marketing agency I was working for in Phoenix. Admittedly, I felt cool that I was able to go to the press check. The hour and a half drive to Tucson went quickly due to my enthusiasm; I was like a kid leaving for a family vacation on the coast, knowing that ahead of me lay all the wonders and excitement of the unknown. The printer greeted me warmly and took me back to see the brochures. They had decided to go ahead and run all of the copies while they were on press; the paper was nice and the fold job was spot on. The printer’s work was stupendous!
