route does not have to be all walking or all driving. Most neighbor-
hoods and commercial office parks are too small to take a meter reader
all day to finish. Typically, a meter reader will read meters in one area
for a time, then drive to another area and begin reading again. A route
then may consist of two, three, or even more route segments.
