About the Author
Natalie Canavor is a business writer, communications consultant and workshop leader. She has also been a national magazine editor-in-chief responsible for four start-ups, and an award-winning journalist. As communications director for a major educational agency, she built and managed a 12-person creative department.
Natalie has also worked in public relations, sales promotion and nonprofit communication. Her byline has appeared frequently on feature articles for the New York Times, Newsday and publications for businesspeople. Her column, “Women@Work” ran for five years in a regional business newspaper, and she was also a long-term columnist on better writing techniques for the International Association of Business Communicators.
At each stage in her career, Natalie has created workshops and courses to teach adults practical techniques for writing more powerfully and strategically. Ultimately, she taught advanced writing seminars for NYU’s Master’s Program in Professional Communications, and now helps colleges improve their business writing programs.
In addition to this book, she is the author of Business Writing Today (Sage Publications); a college textbook currently in its third edition; The Truth about the New Rules of Business Writing (FT Press), coauthored with Claire Meirowitz; and Workplace Genie: An Unorthodox Toolkit to Help Transform Your Work Relationships and Get the Most from Your Career (Skyhorse Publishing), coauthored with hypnotherapist Susan Dowell. ...
