Real-user monitoring
First impressions are critical to the success of modern systems. Users have many choices and expect extremely fast response times. A poor user experience has a significant impact on bounce rate. To minimize this risk, we need to monitor the user experience so that we are aware of performance issues and make any necessary improvements. However, it is no longer possible to solely rely on server-side monitoring to gauge the performance of the user experience. In cloud-native systems, a significant amount of the end-user experience executes on the client side. Therefore we need full-stack monitoring to assert the quality of the user experience.
