Incorporating unit tests within the software-development process is uniformly recognized as best practice—Chapter 6, Avoiding Hurdles. There is a vast amount of information available on this subject, so I won't spend too much time focusing on this here, but I would recommend that you apply some time and effort into investigating this subject and how you can adopt this approach within your SDLC.
