When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Bridging the skills gap
This might not seem like a big problem, but as the organization's output increases, the efficiency grows, and the organization starts to be recognized as one that can deliver quality products quickly (and it will), then growth and expansion may well become a high priority—this, I think you'll agree, is a good problem to have. You now need to find individuals who will work in the new way and exhibit the behaviors that everyone has worked so hard to instill and embed throughout the organization. This is not as easy as you might think and it will take some time to find the people that not only have the skills, experience, and potential but also the mindset you're looking for.
