Case Study: AutoScout24

To kickstart our case studies section, Simon Mittermüller and Thiago Vacare will tell us about the adoption of continuous deployment at AutoScout24, a European online car marketplace. Simon joined AutoScout24 in 2016. As a principal software engineer, he is a key contributor to the strategic direction of Product Engineering, driving technical decisions and cross-team efforts. Part of his role is to ensure a balance between rapid progress and the reliability and quality of AutoScout24. Thiago has been at AutoScout24 since 2020. As a platform engineer, he designs, builds, and maintains infrastructure and frameworks to support and abstract software applications and services from developer teams. He has worked in different platform teams, managing a Kubernetes cluster with more than 400 microservices, developing Accelerate metrics to enhance product delivery and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), migrating platforms to AWS, and managing incidents.
