It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

It starts with an introduction and historical background and then discusses its benefits and the shift in mindset required to accommodate automated deployments. It also addresses challenges, downsides, and critical aspects to be aware of. Finally, it covers the technical and organizational prerequisites needed to adopt this practice.
