I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Als Fotografen verlassen wir uns auf die Kamera in unseren Händen. Dabei messen wir unserer Ausrüstung schnell etwas zu viel Bedeutung bei. Ich bitte Sie jetzt deshalb dringend: Vergessen Sie Ihre Kamera. Sie selbst und die Welt um Sie herum sind bei der von mir praktizierten und unterrichteten Fotografie das Wichtigste. Natürlich gibt es auch andere Sichtweisen; vermutlich teilen Sie aber meine Einstellung, da Sie dieses und kein anderes Buch aufgeschlagen haben. Diese Fotografie erzählt Geschichten, sie greift das Leben auf und sagt mit ihren Bildern etwas darüber aus. Sie brauchen niemanden mit Ihrer Kamera oder dem längsten Objektiv zu beeindrucken. Das interessiert kaum jemanden.
