I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Als ich jünger war, nahm ich die Fotografie noch nicht ganz so ernst. Ich ging spielerischer heran und konnte daher ohne Druck lernen – vor allen Dingen sehen lernen. Und genau darum geht es doch, oder? Wenn Sie die Kamera auch noch so gut bedienen können: Ohne eine alternative Sicht auf die Dinge, ohne zu erkennen, dass Ihnen etwas anderes oder Schönes über den Weg läuft, erhalten Sie zwar technisch perfekte, aber auch absolut beliebige Fotos.
Robert Capas berühmter Ausspruch »Sind Ihre Fotos nicht gut genug, sind Sie nicht nah genug dran«, bezog sich wohl kaum auf meinen Vorschlag, hin und wieder auf Knien im Gras herumzurobben.
