I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
15.8 Data Warehouse Administration
A data warehouse requires a database administrator (DBA) who specializes in the data warehouse environment. The DBA must be familiar with data warehouse architecture and data models, data warehouse development models, platforms and environments for data warehouses, and the operations and goals of the enterprise. Like any DBA, the warehouse DBA is expected to plan, design, develop, and manage the data resource; in addition, the DBA performs tasks that correspond to those described in Chapter 2, Section 2.5.
