Following the two dimensions of subsidiary development that are identified in the Birkinshaw and Hood model (Figure 3.2), our next focus should be on the analysis of capabilities that are available to the subsidiary. These capabilities are resources that the subsidiary can draw upon and develop in support of any strategic objectives.
It is important in this phase of our diagnosis to take a wide perspective on capabilities.
